Beyoncé Set To Perform At Kamala Harris Rally In Houston

Beyoncé is expected to perform in her hometown of Houston at Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally on Friday, according to NBC News and The Washington Post.
Harris will speak about Texas’ near-total abortion ban at the rally as the campaign comes to a close with only 11 days until Election Day.
Harris has used Beyoncé’s song “Freedom” as her walk-on song at rallies throughout her presidential campaign. The campaign also used the song in an ad narrated by actor Jeffrey Wright.
“What kind of America do we want?” he asks while “Freedom” plays. “One where we’re divided, angry, depressed? C’mon! We’re Americans! Fascism? We conquered it. The moon? Landed on it. The future? Building it. Freedom? Nobody loves it more.”

When former President Donald Trump’s campaign used the same song in a video posted on social media in August, Beyoncé threatened to send a cease-and-desist.
This is the second time reports have swirled that Beyoncé would perform in support of Harris. TMZ reported before the final night of the Democratic National Convention that the “Texas Hold ’Em” singer would close out the convention, but when she didn’t show up, the outlet said they got it wrong.
Days before the 2020 election, Beyoncé showed her support for President Joe Biden and Harris.
